Summary: On 17th of July 2016 at 12:00p.m the pilot of a power paraglider took off from a costa area named “NEAS IRAKLIAS HALKIDIKIS” in order to perform a recreational flight. After a short flight time period the paraglider struck into an electrical post and fell onto the ground as a consequence the pilot was fatally injured.

Summary: On 24th of September 2014, an aircraft SU-26 with registration number LY-AKG took off from Kavala International Airport at 15:35 h local time en route to Tatoi Airport in order to participate at Athens Flying Week 2014 air show. After 20 to 25 minutes while the aircraft was flying at straight and level flight at 3000 ft above the sea an engine malfunction occurred which led to loss of engine power. The pilot evacuated the aircraft using the parachute without being injured and the aircraft plunged into the sea.

Summary: On 11th of June 2011 the aircraft Piper PA28-181 with registration number SX-AMG with one pilot and three passengers on board executed a flight from Rhodes International Airport, "Diagoras" (LGRP) to Kastellorizo Island Public Airport (LGKJ) . During landing at Kastellorizo airport the main landing gear touched the ground and the aircraft bounced on the runway due to strong winds. The nose landing gear collapsed and the aircraft was dragged for thirty meters and stopped on the runway. None was injured.

Summary: On 28th of August 2012 at 14:39h local time private aircraft type Aquila AT01 with registration number D-ERLM departed from Corfu International Airport (LGKR) with scheduled destination the airport of Chios (LGHI). During the flight the pilot informed that at the arrival time the Airport of Chios (LGHI) would be closed. He changed the flight plan and landed at Samos International Airport (LGSM). At Samos International Airport (LGSM) strong winds were prevailing as a result after landing the aircraft deviated to the left crossing the strip area and stopped in a drainage ditch rainwater. The a/c sustained serious damages. The pilot was not injured.

Summary: On 14th of September 2013 at 16:00 local time during sky diving activities at the area of kopaida one skydiver accidentally thumbed one of his peers. He lost his consciousness and he did not manage to open the main parachute, the landing performed with the standby parachute which opened automatically. As a result of this uncontrolled flight the skydiver hit on the ground and suffered serious injuries.

Summary: On the 26th of July 2014, at 10:10 h (local time) an Ultralight Amphibian Device took off from runway 06 of Sparta airport, which was closed at the time, with one pilot and one passenger onboard. According to an eyewitness, when the device was at an approximate height of 80-100 meters, it performed a left turn of about 20° inclination. During the turn, a fluctuation to the engine revolutions was heard. The device started to lose height with a growing slope. While descending, with an inclination of about 60° relative to the ground, the noise of the ballistic parachute was heard, with the belts visible at a height of around 20 - 30 m. Immediately after that, the device got lost among the olive groves and hit the ground.
As a result of the impact both persons onboard were fatally injured and the device got totally destroyed.
