Nr. 02/2014 Paraglider - Happened: 19/06/2012 AAIASB Summary: In the afternoon hours of the June 19th 2012, a paraglider pilot that had took off from mountain “Kitharonas” flying in the nearby area tried to land under strong wind conditions at an area called “Panagitsa-Gkoura” near Vilia of Attica. During this attempt and while drifting by the strong wind he was seriously injured and later on passed away during his transfer to the hospital. - Safety Recommendations
